Wild. Intimate. Entirely yours.

No adventure is great if lived alone.

You chose each other. You chose a mountain. You chose to say yes without an audience, without a script, without anything that wasn’t true.

You want everything to flow. You want your heart to race. You want a memory so deep it feels carved into the rock — something you carry forever, and one day turn around and shout to the world.

No adventure is great if lived alone — and you are about to live the greatest one of all. Two people. One love. A landscape as unique as your story.

Anyone can photograph the Dolomites. Some can see a little further. But very few know how to tell a story in these landscapes — one that speaks truly of you, of the way you are together, and lets the mountains speak directly to your hearts.

You don’t need just a photographer. You need someone who lives and feels this every single day — someone who understands exactly what you are feeling, and can translate it into images that tell your story and take your breath away, all over again.

your cinematic love story in Dolomites

THE MEMORYMAKER METHOD

Not posing
Not reportage
This is story

Traditional photography focuses on how things look.
Reportage focuses on what happens.

I build a narrative around what it means.
That difference is what you’ll feel in every frame.

PHOTOGRAPHY + STORYTELLING

Cinematic storytelling techniques — framing, light, timing, sequence — applied to real, unscripted moments.
Every choice has a narrative purpose, the way it does in a film.

Before

Your story is studied before the scene begins. Who you are, how you move, what you carry inside. Characters are learned before the first frame is made.

During

Every moment is read in real time — the angle that makes you feel powerful, the light that reveals what words cannot say, the detail that will matter in twenty years.

After

The edit is not a selection of beautiful images. It is a sequence — built with the same narrative logic as the day itself. So that every time you watch it, you feel it again.

You are the protagonists. The mountain is the stage.

This is not only photography. This is your life, told like a film.

And it will never look like anyone else’s.

Somewhere between the rock and the snow — that’s where the story is.

Your Dolomites Elopement Photographer

The air at 2,000 metres feels different on your skin. The silence is physical. The rock around you has been here for two hundred million years — and for one day, it is yours.

This is not a photograph in front of a mountain. This is your story, set in one of the most powerful landscapes on earth, told by someone who has breathed this air for thirty years and knows exactly what things taste like here.

The couples who choose this don’t choose it just for images to share from breathtaking places. They choose it because they want to feel something they will never forget — and come home with proof that it happened.

As Dolomites Elopement Photographer, I am here to make it possible.

These mountains are where I learned:

That some places change you. That the best stories are lived, not planned. That the most important moments deserve someone who truly understands what they mean.

And that the most beautiful stories are still to be told.

A real DOLOMITES love story

What it feels like when the day is told — not photographed.

“Your precious advice and your presence in these mountains made everything even more special. I can’t thank you enough”
— Justine & Claire, Newport

Every photo feels alive — as if we were back there, under the Dolomites . Pure magic!

Adventure Session with Dolomites Elopement Photographer  Livio Lacurre.

adventure session

The ceremony is one day. The Dolomites deserve more.

There is more than one way to say yes.

dolomites adventure session

The day before. Or the day after. On foot, at altitude, in places most visitors never reach.

A Dolomites adventure elopement session is a tailored photographic experience in the mountains — designed around you, your pace, your fitness, what you want to feel. A few hours or an entire day. A single peak or a journey across multiple locations.

Some couples arrive the evening before, sleep in a rifugio, and wake up before dawn when the mountains are still theirs alone.
Places reachable only on foot, empty after five, where the voice of the mountain is real and with a night sky you will not forget.

Some prefer to walk after the ceremony — trading the adrenaline of the vows for the quieter joy of moving through the landscape together, unhurried, the day already made.

There is no fixed format. Only your story, and the mountain.

This is not only a photo shoot in the mountains.
This is an real experience in the mountains — documented as it happens.

As Dolomites Elopements photographer I am happy to offer this possibility.

ready for YOUR adventure?

Let’s make it happen.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

Everything your elopement needs.
All in one place.

Each package includes everything I consider necessary to make you live your Dolomites elopement experience in a relaxed and safe way — and make you love these mountains more and more.

Your Story, Delivered

Your images arrive in a private online gallery — curated, edited, ready to relive. Everything is yours to download, share, and keep. And when you’re ready to hold them in your hands, the gallery connects directly to my network of professional print labs around the world — selected by me for quality, not convenience. Albums, prints, wall art, large format — ordered directly, at dedicated pricing. Professional products, not the kind you find in mass retail or generic online services.

Local Insider Knowledge

As someone who loves these places and landscapes deeply, I can enhance your elopement experience by helping you avoid the common tourist traps and pointing you towards hidden gems, lesser-known locations, and truly authentic experiences. Whether it’s recommending the best local restaurants, suggesting off-the-beaten-path trails, sharing the best times to visit specific locations, or simply telling you what’s worth your time and what isn’t — I’m here to make sure your love for the Dolomites only grows stronger.

Personalized Itinerary

Every elopement is different — and so is every plan. A single location, an intimate ceremony, and nothing else. Or a multi-day journey through the Dolomites, moving from valley to pass to peak, each place chosen for what it adds to your story.
I specialize in building personalized itineraries that reflect who you are and what you love. From selecting the right ceremony spot to arranging a full route across the most cinematic landscapes in the Alps — Val di Funes, Alpe di Siusi, Passo Gardena, Lagazuoi, Cortina d’Ampezzo, Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Cinque Torri, and beyond — my goal is to design a plan that feels entirely yours.
Because discovering these places together is already part of the story.

Vendor Network & Coordination

A florist who understands mountain ceremonies. A celebrant who speaks your language. A hair and makeup artist who can work at altitude, in a rifugio, at dawn. A caterer for an intimate dinner after the ceremony.
Whatever your day needs, I know who to call. And when I don’t, I know where to look.
In an elopement, everything needs to work together perfectly. I make sure it does.

Questions couples always ask first

International couples planning a Dolomites elopement  tend to have the same concerns. Here are the honest answers.

F.A.Q.

For 2026, a few dates remain — it’s worth asking now. For 2027, all dates are open. The earlier you reach out, the more time we have to build your story properly before the day.

An elopement is not a small wedding with fewer guests. As Dolomites Elopement photographer I can say that it is a completely different structure — built around two people, their pace, and the landscape. No ceremony timeline to honour, no dinner service to coordinate around. The day follows the light and the story, not the other way around.

Yes — and some of the most powerful stories I have told as a Dolomites elopement photographer had no witnesses except the mountain. Two people. A celebrant when desired. And a landscape that holds everything.

A photographic experience in the mountain that your Dolomites elopement photographer designs around you — your pace, your fitness, what you want to feel. On foot, at altitude, in places most visitors never reach. A few hours or an entire day.

Both are possible. A symbolic ceremony is simpler to organize and gives you complete freedom over location, timing, and format. A civil wedding with legal recognition requires additional coordination — I can point you to the right people to help you navigate this.

It depends on the location. Some of the most beautiful spots fall within protected natural parks with specific access rules. I know which places need what — and I’ll tell you honestly what is and isn’t possible.

Yes. As Dolomites Elopement photographer I have worked with trusted people across the Dolomites and in all of Italy — celebrants fluent in English and other languages, florists who understand mountain ceremonies, and vendors for every moment of your day. You don’t need to find anyone alone.

There is something important to know before you decide. Under current Italian immigration law, non-EU professionals cannot legally work at a private event in Italy — regardless of whether they are paid or not, for one day or one hour. This applies to photographers, videographers, florists, hair and makeup artists, and any vendor physically present on the day. Read the full guide →

Every season offers something different. Summer gives you wildflowers and long light but also crowds on the trails. Autumn brings extraordinary colour and quieter landscapes. Winter is possible in certain areas but requires very careful planning. There is no universally best season — only the right season for your specific story.

Yes. My work is entirely with international couples. Every exchange, every Dossier, every delivery happens in English. You will never need to translate anything.

I’ll reply within 24 hours. No pricing in the first contact — just a conversation about your story, your day, and whether we are the right fit for each other.

Because in the Dolomites, knowledge is not a bonus — it is the difference between a day that flows and a day that struggles. A Dolomites elopement photographer who knows the terrain will not waste your golden hour driving between valleys. Will not discover on the day that a location requires a permit. Will not be surprised by weather that anyone familiar with these passes could have anticipated.
The mountains here do not reward improvisation. They reward preparation, respect, and experience. That is what thirty years inside these mountains gives you — and what you should look for in whoever you choose to tell your story.

That’s exactly why couples choose me as their Dolomites Elopement Photographer. My Memorymaker Method is not about staging or waiting for luck. I study the light, the space, and your story to anticipate what will unfold — like leaving open one single door so people naturally walk through it. This creates images that feel inevitable, organic, and narrative, not random snapshots.

At the same time, as a passionate and constant student of art, I know traditional posing very well. Poses are never random – in art history they are born from precise studies of mathematics, proportions, and human harmony. Think of the power of the Laocoön, the tenderness of Amore e Psiche, the emotional stillness of Botticelli’s Venus, the majesty of Michelangelo’s David, or the dramatic tension in Caravaggio’s Calling of Saint Matthew. Sometimes, when time is limited or the situation requires it, this knowledge of poses and love for art becomes an ally.

And here is where the magic happens: with me, you never feel like you’re posing. I create the conditions where you remain yourself and where things unfold naturally, just like that open door. For my couples, the experience itself feels authentic and effortless – and the images become a magical reflection of that.

As one of my couples once said: “Livio captured the essence of our wedding; his photos have soul, and I think that’s the highest compliment possible.”
